Oba Mohood Balogun’s wife, Olori Joyce Anene, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, has converted to Islam.
Sheikh Abdul Ganiyy Abubakry Agbotomokekere I, the Grand Imam of Oyo State, announced this in a Facebook post.
On Monday, the queen was converted at the Ibadan North East Local Government Ramadan Lecture, which was held at the Ibadan Central Praying Ground, Yidi Agodi Gate Ibadan.
At the event, the Ibadan Queen, now known as Olori Khadijah Mahood Lekan Balogun, uttered the kalimatul-shahadah.
