The Lagos State Government has clarified the controversy surrounding the 2022 Hajj fee, stating that the increase was beyond its control and that the fee due by intending pilgrims is determined by the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON).
The state administration further stated that following Eid-el-Fitri, a stakeholders’ meeting will be organized to resolve all issues related to the fee increase.
Nigerian pilgrims could pay as much as N2. 5 million to participate in the 2022 Hajj, according to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
