Eid-el-Fitr: Seek Unity, Peaceful Coexistence – Lagos SA on Education, Wahab Charges Muslims

Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, the Special Adviser on Education to Governor Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated all Muslims in the state on successfully finishing the Ramadan Fast, as Muslim faithful around the world prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the completion of the Ramadan Fast.

Wahab praised them for following all of the fasting customs, saying that God would reward them for their endurance, tolerance, inconveniences, and self-denial in Allah’s service.

He urged Muslims to pray for the country’s unity, mutual love, and peaceful transition in the current democratic framework on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

The Special Adviser also asked Nigerians to unify and harness their variety to build a united and stronger country that will be the pride of Africa, saying that there is always power in numbers.

He urged political gladiators from all parties to work together for the country’s peace, asking them to always ensure that elections are held in a peaceful manner in order to improve the country’s democracy and growth.

Wahab said: “As we are moving towards another phase in our democratic experience, I urge all politicians to always place the unity of the country above any other considerations and play by the rules of the game. It is our country and nobody will come and build it for us. We should always be conscious of the vital position that Nigeria occupies among other African countries, we should show leadership by example through peaceful electoral processes and mutual love for one another”.

The Special Adviser observed that the two newly founded State Universities by the Sanwo-Olu administration would provide increased access to varsity education for youths in the State.

He revealed that the nation’s citadel of knowledge’s limited carrying capacity has remained a major impediment to the country’s university education dream, adding that Governor Sanwo-vision Olu’s of establishing two universities at the same time will be a legacy for which he will be remembered forever.

During the celebration, the Special Adviser expressed satisfaction in associating with Muslims, praying that Almighty Allah would accept their fasting as an act of Ibadah and forgive them for their sins.
