Eid-Al-Fitr: Okere Greets Muslims, Sues For Tolerance

As Muslims around the world mark the end of Ramadan with Eid-Al-Fitr celebrations, the Okere of Saki, HRM Oba Kalid Olabisi Ayinla Ilugbemidepo Oyedepo III, has extended his warm greetings, urging to use the season to rekindle the spirit of love , tolerance and peace.

Oba Kalid Olabisi Ayinla in his sallah message to Muslims in Saki, advises to reflect on the importance of putting the virtues of Islam into practice beyond the fasting period in becoming good ambassadors of Islam at all times.

Saki is a city-town in western Nigeria’s Oyo State, located in the northwestern section of the state. In the south-western part of Nigeria, it has a unique history of Islamic revivalism.

Muslims make up more than 70% of Saki’s population in Oyo State’s Saki West Local Government Area. A Muslim School of Basic Midwifery and a Muslim Hospital are both located in Saki. In 1987, M.K.O. Abiola commissioned the Muslim Hospital.
