12,600 Nigerians Benefit From Saudi Arabia’s King Relief Scheme

Thousands of Muslims and non-Muslims around the world benefited from the Abu Bakr Al-Sidiq Philanthropic Home of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre Saudi-poverty Arabia’s reduction program in 2022.

At least 12,600 Nigerians benefited from the poverty alleviation initiative, which included the delivery of food to the needy in some of the country’s states.

Sheikh Abdul-Razaq Ibrahim Salman, the philanthropic home’s president, said the distribution of food to the poor in Nigeria was a big success.

The delivery, which was part of King Salman’s annual countless relief packages around the world, featured beneficiaries from 19 different countries, according to Abdul- Rasaq.

He praised KSrelief’s supervisor-general, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeha, for driving the poverty relief effort, which saw 8,000 tonnes of food distributed across 19 nations.

He also praised Saudi foreign missions for their assistance with the distribution exercises in Abuja and Kano State.

The project in Kwara State began on April 5, 2022, with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s official flag-off by the state’s deputy governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi.

More than 300 food baskets were delivered, each of which could feed six individuals.

Over 4,600 recipients received food packages at the end of the two-week distribution exercise in Kwara alone.
