The National Mosque Dawah and Welfare Foundation has distributed various food items to over 200 indigent Muslims across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), according to NAN.
The Chairman of the foundation, Dr. Muhammad Kabir-Adam, said during the distribution ceremony on Monday in Abuja that “the gesture intended to feed Muslims and alleviate their Ramadan fasting.”
Mr. Adam remarked that since it is encouraged to give out alms during the holy month, the foundation saw the need to help the beneficiaries and their families for the few remaining days of the holy month.
The chairman, while claiming that the distribution is the first of its sort, stated that the foundation’s humanitarian actions include providing assistance to underprivileged families around the country.
“We also engage in Dawah for Muslims to learn more about the religion and also visit IDP camps to help those residing there,” he added.
