On World Heritage Day in Riyadh, the King Abdulaziz Public Library opened an unique Holy Qur’an Exhibition.
The purpose of the event is to bring attention to the diversity of Islamic civilizations and their peaceful traditions.
General supervisor of the King Abdulaziz Public Library, Faisal bin Muammar, said: “We are proud that this exhibition is connected to serving the Holy Qur’an, the Two Holy Mosques and the Islamic civilizations.”
Muammar continued by saying, “The goal of the exhibition is to celebrate the richness of the Islamic culture and the Holy Qur’an in this great month of Ramadan.”
Because of the characters, type, font, design, and dates of the texts, which were mostly produced between the 10th and 13th centuries A.H., the collection, which includes 267 copies of the Qur’an and 20 highly rare museum copies, is unique.
