
On Saturday, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum began his Ramadan fast in Mafa, Borno State, where he spent Friday night and began the spiritual activity early Saturday.
Mafa is the administrative center of the Mafa Local Government Area, which is located in the state’s central region.
The governor oversaw the delivery of cash, food, and non-food items to a total of 15,327 people, including IDPs and other disadvantaged citizens.
The recipients were 9,313 females and 6,014 males, with each receiving N5,000 for a total of N76,635,000:00.
Apart from the cash, each male received 50 kilograms of rice and five yards of Shadda, while each lady received a wrapper and ten kilograms of sugar.
Zulum Visits Mafa General Hospital
Zulum examined the General Hospital’s facilities and spoke with health staff while in Mafa.
Similarly, the governor visited the hospital’s laboratory, operating theater, and staff quarters.
After completing his inspections, Zulum instructed the hospital’s Principal Medical Officer to submit specifics of some of the hospital’s criteria for long-term healthcare delivery.
