Shaykh Khalid Yasin Visit Nigeria


Shaykh Khalid Yasin is in Nigeria to promote his technology-driven Empowerment Platform. His first lecture took place at Al Ansar Mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State, today.

Shaykh Khalid Yasin (SKY), who has a large following in this West African country, will deliver the message of communal partnership, purpose, and empowerment to the world’s most populous black nation.

SKY is introducing to Africa a technology-based empowerment platform. The American born, Shaykh Khalid said, the plan is simple: link businesses in America to freelancers in Africa.”

“I have now turned my attention towards providing inspiration and motivation to young people around the world, some of who are angry, confused and, in many cases, unsure about their future, and therefore, become candidates for various forms of extremism, and anti-social behavior in their countries.

“We have now developed and launched, a powerful and effective entrepreneurship certificate program, titled: Jam Institute, with offices in the UAE, Turkey, Libya, Egypt, and the USA. Now, we want to launch our program in Nigeria, the most populated country on the African continent, where 60% of the population are young people.

“I intend to make a six-week tour, which will include, visits to the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Turkey, and the UAE, to further the objectives of our entrepreneurship certificate programme,” he added.

Shaykh Khalid Yasin’s Brief Biography

Shaykh Khalid Yasin was raised as a Christian in New York City, where he spent the majority of his boyhood. In 1965, the late Shaykh Daud Ahmed Faisal of the Islamic Mission of America in Brooklyn, New York, persuaded the Shaykh to accept Islam.

With the help of various professors and mentors, the Shaykh has studied the sources of the Sunnah, the Islamic faith, jurisprudence, the reading and recitation of the Qur’an, Islamic history, and the Arabic language.

The late Hafidh and Qari, Maqbul Ilahi, of the Punjab, and Shaykh Khalid Al-Halwaany of Makkah, al-Mukarramah, are two of Shaykh Khalid Yasin’s key teachers, and he is a student of other leading Islamic scholars in the world today.

The Shaykh has spent the last 35 years dispelling myths and misconceptions about Islam and Muslims. He has given lectures in over 89 countries around the world, resulting in over 75,000 people joining Islam either directly from his hands or after listening to his over 150 recorded lectures.
