MPAC Partners The Companion for 5th National Discourse in Lagos


The Muslim Public Affairs Center, MPAC, has announced its collaboration with The Companion, Nigeria, for their 5th National Discourse, according to a statement on released to the public on Yawmut Thulaatha 20th of Rajab 1443AH (22nd of February of 2022). MPAC is an incorporated public service agency working for Muslim Defence, Muslim Empowerment and for promoting individual liberties, religious, civil and political rights of Muslims.

The statement said, “The event will take place on Sunday 6 March 2022, at the J F Ade-Ajayi Main Auditorium of the University of Lagos. The theme of this all-important event is “Islamic Finance Experiment in Nigeria: Gains, Challenges & Prospects.”

MPAC is working with The Companion, Nigeria as a partner to achieve overall success and contribute to human development based on the principles of Islam.”

The Companion is an Association of Muslim Men in Business and the Professions, was established in 1384AH (1984) in Lagos, Nigeria. The religious based group is renowned for attracting eminent professionals from different walks of life. Therefore, this year’s epochal colloquium also boasts an impressive lineup of speakers and guests.

In addition, the special guest of honour is His Highness Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, CON, a former CBN Governor and former CEO of First Bank Nigeria Plc. In addition, the event will be chaired by the Co-Founder of GTBank and Founder/Chairman, FATE Foundation, Mr Fola Adeola, OFR, MNI.

“The theme of the discourse shall be discussed by Professor Abdul-Razaq Abdul-Majeed Alaro of the Department of Islamic Law, University of Ilorin, and a renowned Islamic finance expert,” it added.
