Mubarak Sulaiman Olanrewaju

May Allah forgive your shortcomings and admit you to Jannah. May Allah comfort your wife and children.

I glance at the conversation we had when your Dad, the Mufassir of Festac, died last year. Seems like a dream. I wonder how your family will feel.
May your killers not know peace.

Asmau Hamzah

I don’t know the brother, but his death touched me to the marrow. How fleeting life is…I woke up this morning to imagine the emptiness the wife would wake up to , that’s if she slept at all, and just yesterday morning her husband was hale and hearty with dreams and aspirations, and then some cruel beings decided to kill anyone just to part with money that isn’t theirs, i guess the money would last them forever and they would never die.
May Allah forgive and have mercy on him,may He grant him a better abode than here, and reunite him and us in Firdous.
May Allah fortify and console our dear sister- his wife , the kids and all he left behind. Pls let’s all remember her in our prayer and give all the support necessary to go through this phase. It’s really devastating. If I can feel this way, I can only imagine her state.
Alhamdulillah, we’re Muslims, we accept Allah’s decree and we’d say only that which pleases Him.

Our Creator! We can’t question Your decision but rather accept it regardless the pain. Mubarak Sulaiman Olanrewaju has now returned to You. We are sad because he left with the Knowledge of your Deen in him which he is yet to give it out as much as he wished. Oh Allah! Admit him into Al-jannatul Firdaws, protect all he left behind and make his children more knowledgeable and beneficial to Islam than their father. Aamin.

Death shakes me especially when the deceased was so good that many people testify to their goodness. Ya Rabb, you never leave any good deed without reward. Please let all the good deeds of your slave Mubarak Sulayman weigh heavily in his scale. Illuminate his grave, make it a place of comfort until the Day when we’ll all be gathered before you. Grant our sister solace, Lord for You Alone know what she’ll be feeling now. Grant her solace and ease her pain, Ya Rabb. Let the family of Your slave and their descendants remain upon pristine Islam. Never let them deviate from the goodness of Your path and let his children become even better than their father was. Reunite them and us all in Your gardens beneath which rivers flow where there’ll be neither fear, nor pain nor grief, Aameen.

So this Journey can be this closer, nearer and shorter……???

A friend, university mate, married to a sister we grew up together from primary to university life….this is shocking!!!

We can only but say what pleases our Lord and ask He forgives bro Mubarak Sulaiman Olanrewaju ….

His love and passion for Arabic Language is so admirable…

His smile is so infective and irresistible….

Indeed, death is enough as an admonition….
فهل من مذكر!!!

Salmah Adetutu Lawal

I met him in early 2016 when i wanted to start the programme “BROTHERS IN THE DEEN” on NTA Ibadan….He was one of the brothers recommended to me and i swear by Allah, throughout the almost one year that we were producing this program, he was very dedicated. A very eloquent, knowledgeable and calm brother. Spending his money, resources and time especially (Like all the other brothers) to come for recordings, get the appropriate attires and do research on the designated topics.

He shared with me when he formally registered his Madrasah with the CAC two months ago. Very focused and vision-driven.

This incident is very painful walahi. He woke up this morning not having an inkling that today would be his last day on earth.
God is great!!!

This is an admonition to us all. I am honestly shaken, but again…who are we to question the maker? The owner of heaven and earth, who never does wrong.
God is great!!!

My sincere prayer is that all the knowledge that he shared on the television programme, BROTHERS IN THE DEEN should serve as a good intercession for him on the day of reckoning; Allah should overlook his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Aameen

May Allah never leave his young wife and two little children to themselves for a blink of an eye. May He grant fortitude to all his loved ones. May we all reunite on the day of accountability with SALAAM in Jannatul Firdaus. Aameen.

Nafeesah Alabi Adeyemo

I was driving out of our neighborhood this morning,

he was driving in,

He called out ‘ Umu Abdullah’

I waved back at him.
Not knowing what that would be his last.
I was coming back from town to go pick my kids, Dr Oyediran called me, and I was shaking behind the wheels.
I cried till I got to my kids school, the tears wouldn’t stop.

I called my husband, he was shattered, and immediately changed route to the maqbarah where he would be buried.

I had to go pay a visit to his wife, I met her praying and she was on sujuud for a very long time, she couldn’t cry, she was just numb.

His one and half year old, he had gone to bring home before the incidence was brought in, and it was then she cried, and we could not hold our too, the poor boy had watched his father being shot. SubhaanaLah!

Oh Allah forgive Mubarak Sulaiman Olanrewaju, illuminate his barzakh and grant his wife all the needed strength and sabr she needed to wither this storm.

We are indeed pained.

Waliyulah Olayiwola

Mubarak Sulaiman Olanrewaju your death came to me as a shock. I’ve been in tears and somehow, I find it hard to believe you have died.

I met you on February 7th and it felt as though we’ve known each other for ages.

We connected instantly and we spoke at length for almost 1 hour.

You came to visit one of our tenants, one of five people who were hit by someone close to you.

Alhamdulillah, none of them died and you confided in me how much came out of you, that you spent for that single occurrence.

You didn’t leave any of them be as you kept coming over and over again to check on them.

I have heard a lot about you from the victim of the auto accident from these people as they informed me “that Alfa is very nice o. He comes to check on us” anytime I also checked on these tenants. This is the feedback I get each time you came to visit them.

Until this last Monday when you came as you normally do. And then, a child was sent to inform me that you were around.

And then, as we saw each other, it felt as though we’ve known each other since infancy.

When we both started talking, it was then the connection was cemented.

You work online and I also work online. You teach people Arabic and Qur’an online, I teach people digital marketing online.

We spoke so much also reciting different Mutuun including Muthalath Qutrubi of Okasha Kameni together.

It was one of my most cherished memories of life altogether. We spoke about your children and mine too.

You met my first daughter as she greeted you on her way to her school.
You said she took after me. And I said I’d love to meet your family as well.

You spoke about the value you give in your digital school, Daar Al-Mubarak. You showed me your secret of trade on how you run your digital Arabic school teaching students in Australia, Nigeria, UK and elsewhere.

I saw you off to your car and we spoke at length as you shared several resources I can use to teach my children.

You saw me back to my house again and to avoid flogging our conversation to death, we had to let each other go.

I gladly invited you to the naming ceremony of my child and right there before me, you put it in your calendar.

We plan and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of Planners.

So that was meant to be the first and last time I ever set my eyes on you?

That great time we both had as brothers loving each other for Allah’s sake and speaking far and wide wasn’t meant to repeat itself?

So, it was a hello and farewell conversation?

If we didn’t get to meet, I might not understand how wonderful you are.

No matter what these great brothers and sisters have to say about you, with the one hour we got to spend together on Monday February 7, you are definitely one of the best Muslims worthy of emulation.

May Allah accept your return and forgive your shortcomings. Till we meet again and part no more in Jannah, adieu habeebiy. May Allah forgive you and grant you safety from the punishment of the grave.

Abdulkareem Taiwo

The news of the death of mallam Mubarak Sulaimon Olanrewaju and the comments all over the social media has got me thinking since yesterday. I have not heard nothing but good about him, this is a pointer that he was a good person, a practicing and teacher of the deen (may all these weigh on the scale of his good deeds).

Oh Allah forgive our brothers that have preceded us in this journey, verily we will join them one day but not let us die except you are pleased with us.

Oh Allah the Lord of everything that is in existence, hasten the punishment of the criminals, Ya Mujib accept our dua.
