On Yawmus Sabt 10th of Rajab, 1443AH equivalent 12th of February, 2022. the 36th edition of annual Qur’anic recitation competition in Bauchi State ended with the announcement of winners and presentation of outstanding prizes to them.
This was known through a statement released and signed by the National Chairman for Qur’anic Recitation Competition on Social Media, Nura Bello Alkali Talata mafara on Yawmus Sabt 10th of Rajab, 1443AH equivalent 12th of February, 2022.
Nura Bello Alkali said, “Alaramma Abdussamad Adam Musa and Malama Amirah Muhammad Sani who hail from DASS and Katagum Local Government Areas respectively emerged overall winners of the sixty hizbs and tafsir category of the competition.
While making his remarks the closing ceremony of the Musabaqah Bauchi State Governor Bala Muhammad represented by his Deputy Senator Baba Tela congratulated the overall winners saying each was awarded with a brand new Honda Accord Car.
Governor Bala Muhammad’s representative indicated that the preparations for hosting the 2022 national level of the competition scheduled to hold between 18th to 26th March,2022 has reached advanced stage. He therefore enjoined the overall winners to work hard towards excelling at the national level.
The statement said, “Senator Tela however reminded the gathering that the essence of the Qur’anic competition is to inculcate and encourage correct way of learning and reciting the book,hence all the participants in the competition are winners.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor who commended all those that contributed towards the successful conduct of the Musabaqah,urged the entire people of the state to show their usual hospitality to guests who will be attending the national competition to be hosted by the state.
“He charged wealthy individuals in the society to establish as many Qur’anic schools as possible in order to re-enforce the recitation of the Holy Book, especially among children,noting that it is the surest way to success here and the hereafter,” the statement added.
