The Nigerian Mosque: Ayisat Aweni Raji Islamic Memorial Centre


Ayisat Aweni Raji Islamic Memorial Centre was opened by His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) along with the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III on the 16th of November, 2021.

The community Centre is equipped Office Complex, Library and a massive prayer area of reasonable capacity and a modern ICT facility.

Outlined by the management, Ayisat Aweni Raji Memorial Centre serves as an avenue for the advancement of Islam, preserving the Islamic identity, supporting and building a viable Muslim community established on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammed (SAW). One of the Visions behind the Centre is to create an opportunity for vital issues like marriage, divorce and inheritance to be resolved amicably according to the rules and regulations of Allah.

The Centre was built by the children of Alhaja Ayisat Aweni Raji in loving memory of their mother.
