On Tuesday, 18th January 2022, another Muslim Niqobi Lady named Abisola Aisha Oluwabusola was awarded a First-Class in Economics at University of Lagos (UNILAG). The talented sister was equally honoured without prejudice by the Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG at the ongoing 52nd Convocation Ceremonies, as a mark of recognising her academic excellence.
This was confirmed known through Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Oyo State Area Unit statement, including a trending video released to the public earlier today.
MSSN said, “She rose and walked up to the podium to receive her Vice Chancellor’s honour. The usual practice of a first-class graduate.”
The Oyo State Area Unit of the Nigerian Muslim student body justifies this tremendous performance of our veiled sister at University of Lagos with what is currently happening at another Federal Government owned higher institution of learning, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, where discrimination against the Muslims by saying no to our blessed Niqob.

“This is coming when the Management and Senate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta is still displaying the highest level of bigotry and discrimination against the Muslims by insisting on banning Niqob.
“There is no hiding place for FUNAAB any longer, they should kill their hatred and accept freedom of religion as shown by the VC of UNILAG, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe and members of UNILAG Senate.”
The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) urged the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Agriculture (FUNAAB) to reverse the present stance of prohibition of the Niqab.
“FUNAAB VC, Prof. Felix kolawole Salako is advised to reverse the current position of banning Niqob and make FUNAAB universally competitive with reputable Schools like UNILAG,” it added.
Meanwhile, The Muslim Voice NG has learnt that a Fundamental Rights enforcement suit against the authorities of FUNAAB have been put into place at the Federal High Court Abeokuta on the viral Niqab case involving Sister Maryam Azeez, who was forced to remove her Niqab before she could enter the University gate.
