This is the path of the our pious predessesor in Islam. We should recall back to the time of the Second Caliph of Islam, Umar Bn Khattaab, the Leader of the Believers, who monitored his subjects and sought after their welfare in the City of Madinah. As a leader, Umar was known to be humble, aware of the significance and seriousness of his responsibility. At night, he was known for going around to inspect the conditions of Muslims. Those night tours weren’t common before his reign, and weren’t done at the same pace even after his death.

Before embracing Islam, Umar was known for his strength of character, and his toughness in establishing truth. When it came to doing the right thing, nothing came between it and Umar. Similarly, monitoring Governor Zulum comittment, activities and policies under his exemplary leadership, vision and commitment to a united and peaceful Borno State, Governor Zulum is tackling the problem of inequality and poverty differently amongst his people.
