FUO Commiserate with Osogbo Muslim Community Over Death of her Naib-Ul-Imam


In a statement available to the public on Wednesday, the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Osogbo, Prof. Amidu O. Sanni has described the death of the Naib Imam of Osogbo Land, Alhaji Haruna Adediran Samogongo as a sad loss to the Muslim community in Osogbo and the State in general.

The Vice Chancellor the faith-based institution said he received the news of the demise of the late Naib Imam with great shock, describing the deceased as a vibrant leader who contributed a lot to the growth of Islam in Osogbo community, according to the statement issued yesterday by the University’s Information Officer, Taoheed Alimi.

The statement noted that, Prof. Sanni said Alh. Adediran would be greatly missed by the people of the state, his immediate Muslim community, and the entire Muslim Community in the State.

Furthermore, he commiserated with the Chief Imam of Osogbo Muslim Community, Alh. Sheik Musa Animashaun, the entire Muslim community in Osogbo, good people of the state, siblings of the deceased, and his immediate family on the irreparable loss.

Prof. Sanni on behalf of the management and the entire university community of Fountain University prayed that Allah will comfort his family on the sad loss of their father, the statement added.
