Known for his sermons and stance on peaceful conflict-resolution, Sheikh Abdul Rahmane Ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Sudais is the Imam of the great mosque of Mekka. Al-Sudais is the president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. He was born in 1961 (1382 of the Hegira) in El Bakiria in the region of El Kassim in Saudi Arabia. The world renown Qari memorised the Qur’an at the age of 12, and studied Shari‘ah at Riyadh University, Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, and Umm al Qura University.
