Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia has indicated that the validity of visit visas of those people from countries facing travel ban will be extended until November 30.
The ministry announced on its Twitter account that extension of visa will be made automatically without charging any fees.
Saudi officials clarified that the beneficiaries of this will be holders of visit visas of which the validity had been expired during the period of suspension of direct entry to Kingdom from these countries following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The statement noted that, this move is part of the continuous efforts undertaken by the Saudi government in tackling the effects and consequences of the global health crisis, in addition to mitigating its economic and financial effects.
Meanwhile, travel restrictions is in existence for passengers coming from Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, Pakistan, Turkey, Ethiopia, Afghanistan and Vietnam.
While non-Saudi nationals with Iqamas residents who have received two-doses of the locally approved Covid-19 vaccines inside Saudi Arabia prior to their travel are allowed re-enter Saudi Arabia directly from any of the above mentioned countries without any restrictions. Health workers and their families are exempt from the restriction but may still be required to complete a period of home quarantine and PCR tests on arrival.
In addition, all other passengers who did not receive the final dose of the locally approved vaccines inside Saudi Arabia prior to their travel and who are coming from or transiting through any of the above mentioned countries must spend 14 days in a third country before entry into Saudi Arabia.
