Islam In Yorubaland Needs Rebranding – Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan
Sheikh Daood noted that, “When browsing through the history of Islam, we would see that transition, the turning point of Islam only took place when when Medina was created. The Medina creation as the headquarters of Islam granted the then Muslims, authority, strength and security. With Medina, Islam began to spread. The spread surrounding politics, economy, social interactions and every other aspect of human life.
So, to channel a new path for Yoruba Islam and for Islam in Yorubaland to take its shape, Yoruba Muslims must have their headquarters, a place and fertile land to grow Islam just like Medina. And Iwo has what it takes without being sentimental,” he added.
