So, this is all we call politics. Indeed, fools are the irrational masses who come on social media to rant in favour of the party in power and those who find fault with the party in power. “Last last”, Nigerians will hopefully be alright – when the elites begin to roast the masses like barbecue chickens.
Intellectuals created oppressive ideas. Elites implement them. The masses suffer the brunt. By intellectuals, I do not mean the teachers on campus, for they’re also part of the masses. By elites, I do not refer to those who are schooled, for they are also the suffering masses.
Intellectuals are the original thinkers who postulated and developed all deceptive ideas that sustain human folly, such as social contract, democratic values, rule of law, separation of power and sovereignty. These ideas definitely rule the world.
Thus, philosophers like Jean Bodin, Charles Louis de Secondat, Baron de Montesquieu; and John Locke, are the original thinkers. But in Nigeria, the political gladiators, like Bola Tinubu, Muhammadu Buhari, Fayose, Atiku Abubakar and Femi Fani Kayode, amongst others, are the political elites.
The political elites are the most dangerous people, for they do conspire to rule with bad faith and deciet; while the masses who campaign for them; fight for them; queue to vote for them and even died for them are the most foolish of God’s creatures.
I hold no grudge against politics; but I hate politics without ideology. The masses are hustlers; the irrational, restive, poor and wretched. They’re also worthless, trashy and paltry. They live a miserable life in the world of form; but live as political sympathizers in the world of ideas.
They’re angry, hungry and extremely impoverished; yet they argue and argue on behalf of the President or his haters. There are many of them on this platform and I come for them early this morning. Tell them to cover their faces with both palms as the chief foe stood for the President’s son in a flamboyant wedding.
Tell them to eat their vomit as the chief of the jungle welcomed a political parrot in a presidential embrace. Tell the President’s haters to perish in shame as they watch their masters become repentant!
