
Alhaji Zungeru died on Sunday night in his palace in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, shortly after the Eid-l-Adha celebration.
A native of Zungeru town in the present Kebbi State, Alhaji Ahmed Zungeru, was born June 13, 1948, and was said to have been installed as the Sarkin Hausawa Of Ibadanland in 1992.
Alhaji Zungeru, aged 76, died in Ibadan on July 25, a report from the News Agency of Nigeria noted.
The late Sarkin left behind a wife and many children. He has been buried on Monday according to Islamic rites.
