MPAC Unveils New Campaign Creatives on Israeli illegal Occupation of Palestine

The Muslim Public Affairs Centre, MPAC, Nigeria’s leading Muslim public affairs organisation, has unveiled a new publicity campaign to drive home its advocacy in support of the oppressed people of Palestine.

The new creative, which graphically shows the Israeli illegal occupation of Palestinian lands year-on-year from 1946 to 2021, was unveiled in Nigeria’s major cities at the weekend.

In a press statement issued on Saturday, the Centre said it will not relent in its advocacy to expose the Israeli’s continued violations of the UN resolutions on Palestinian rights to a homeland based on the two state solution.

MPAC’s Chairman, Kamor Disu explained that the Centre deployed spectacular billboards in Lagos and Abuja to intensify public awareness on the plights of the oppressed people of Palestine.

Mr. Disu, who lamented that the Palestinian cause is being swept under the carpet by world powers, said MPAC is determined to sustain its advocacy notwithstanding the huge cost of running the campaigns.

He said the Centre has deployed four spectacular billboards in Lagos and Abuja to exposed how Israel illegally expanded its hitherto tiny territory into a considerable part of Palestine while killing innocent women and children in the process.

He said despite the atrocities it is perpetrating, the State of Israel was being shielded by some permanent members of the UN Security Council who ironically pride themselves as defenders of human rights across the globe.

The MPAC chairman also berated some African countries, who were themselves victims of oppressive colonisation, for sitting on the fence at critical moment of voting to determine the rights of Palestinians.

He said Nigeria’s abstention from voting during the General Assembly meeting in 2014 did an incalculable damage to the Palestinian quest for justice and human rights.

The oppressed people of Palestine lost their chance of enhanced freedom by a margin of the single vote which Nigeria withheld, he said.
