Kingdom’s General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques has supervised the maintenance of Holy Kaaba’s Kiswa (cover).
This comes as part of the periodic work according to a fixed program that includes conducting comprehensive maintenance and a cleaning process for the Kiswa throughout the year.
Also including the treatment of edges and stone walls in some areas, with customised materials used to ensure the safety of the Holy Kaaba and fixing the rings that hold the Holy Kaaba’s cover in place.

The operational plan noted that, the technical work team of specialized Saudi cadres inspects the Holy Kaaba on a daily basis, as it performs the necessary and periodic maintenance, in line with precautionary and preventive measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
