Erekat,65, a prominent international spokesman for the Palestinians for more than 30 years, died weeks after testing positive for COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
He was being treated in Hadassah University Hospital Ein Kerem, in Jerusalem.
